On July 31, 2017, in front of a sold-out room, the Castelo de Paiva City Hall celebrated the signing ceremony of the Contracts for the “Viver o Douro” route, designed by APROplan, to the Choupal Leisure Zone , and the relocation of the water pipeline from the Pedorido Centennial Bridge to the bridge of the National Road Network, EN222.

It was with great enthusiasm that the APROplan team presented the project before the attentive audience. It is worth remembering that the “Viver o Douro” course is part of the Castelo de Paiva development project called “Living Payva D’Ouro”, also developed by APROplan.

The mayor of Castelo de Paiva Gonçalo Rocha highlighted the relevance of these works for the county, which with special emphasis on the invigoration of tourism based on the potential in the municipality can translate into more wealth and employment for the region. The President also mentioned the work that still needs to be done to maximize the use of the resources and potential of the riverside front of the county.
